ABOUT THE PROUD PEACOCK

After several years of being an Antiques Shoppe owner, then Boutique owner, rather than wait for customers to come to me, I decided to go to them! Which is how The Proud Peacock was born..

So since 2004, I have taken my show on the road!  (See my Show Schedule page for my schedule). Before the economic downturn a few yrs. ago, I used to set up 3-4 days per week as vendor-for-the-day in various hospitals & corporations all over CT & MA, along w/seasonal fairs.

But now I'm a vendor all year round at bigger, longer craft shows, county fairs, hotel conventions, trade shows & all kinds of interesting new venues I find or am asked to do, as people see me at shows & want to see me in theirs. I've also been branching out, covering not only CT & western/central MA, but also Cape Cod, Maine, NJ, PA, upstate NY & Florida too.

I can also be found on my YouTube Channel with my Shawl Styling Videos & on Facebook. And of course I still do my biggest fair, 17 days long- The Eastern States Exposition (or ‘the Big E’) in Springfield, MA with more than 1.5 million fairgoers every yr. Unfortunately, The Big E 2020 was cancelled but we’re praying it will be back in 2021! My booth is always on Hampden Ave, between Gate 1 & the Police Station, double size barn & the only red one, (& you can check my Sept Schedule Pg for directions), so I hope to see you next yr. :-) I meet a lot of great people at my venues & am very happy to have my website, so that I can meet even more nice customers & make new friends. I hope you’ll be one of them.

About Me

Why ‘Proud Peacock’?

After having an antique shoppe, then home decor boutique, I  started selling my silk velvet beaded peacock shawls at shows which were a huge hit back then, & I always loved peacocks anyway, so my new business name came easily! And as you can probably guess, I am quite Proud of my products & my displays. :-)
